Jane joined Howe Jenkin as a Senior Associate at the commencement of the firm in April 2014, following more than 7 years working at one of Adelaide’s premier commercial law firms where she worked with David Jenkin in the family law team, and became a director on 1 July 2021.
Jane has been recognised in Doyle’s Guide to Family Lawyers as a recommended lawyer for the years 2019 -2022, and specialises in all areas of family law including financial/property settlements for married and defacto couples, all types of financial agreements, spousal maintenance and parenting and child support matters. Jane can assist with both straightforward matters whereby parties are largely in agreement, or in complex matters including matters of significant value.
However, Jane does have a particular interest in assisting her clients in parenting matters that can arise as a result of a breakdown of a relationship. In that regard, Doyle’s Guide has listed Jane as one of the 7 leading lawyers (highest honour in this category) in South Australia from 2019 – 2022. In 2017 and 2018, Doyle’s Guide listed Jane as a recommended lawyer in parenting matters.
Jane is a member of the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia, the Law Society of South Australia and Australian Institute of Family Law Arbitrators and Mediators.
In 2021, Jane returned from maternity leave following the birth of her second child.
In addition to spending time with her family including her husband and two young children, in her spare time, Jane sits on the Governing Council of one of Adelaide’s leading independent girls’ schools.
She is currently working in the office on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
